QDP, Inc. is providing services to customers who require various materials cut to precise lengths. This service can be used in a variety of industries including laminations, and shielding. Our proprietary process includes a custom precision shear, designed and built in-house and installed in a precision Bruderer punch press. The material is fed with a custom built servo feed through a set of QDP’s proprietary roller guides to keep the material square with the shear. Typically we can hold a length tolerance of +/-0.010”, depending on material. We have experience in processing materials such as stainless foil, GOES (Grain Oriented Electrical Steel), Aluminum, Cold Rolled Steel, Nickle and Zinc Alloys, and Copper Alloys from .001”-.020” thick and up to 8” wide. Thicker materials may be possible depending on width and alloy. All parts are processed with minimal edge burr. We can also slit to width and cut to length most plastic films.
With our in-house laminator QDP can also provide adhesive lamination to metal foils and plastic films. All laminated materials can also be slit and cut to length. Since many of the materials are delicate in nature we can also provide special packaging when required.
